Citizens narrows total loss guidance to $2.3bn-$2.6bn for Ian, excluding litigation

Citizens has revised its total loss estimate from Hurricane Ian to $2.3bn-$2.6bn from last week’s $1.9bn-$3.7bn, according to CEO Barry Gilway.

The loss estimate does not include litigation or claims below the deductible.

The insurer of last resort affirmed that it still expects around 225,000 claims.
