Farmers Group has promoted Raul Vargas to the position of president and CEO, effective January 1, at which point current chief executive Jeff Dailey will step down and continue as chairman.

The new CEO will also join Farmers’ board of directors on January 1. Vargas is currently the company’s president of distribution, life and financial services.
