Auto insurer Progressive has reported $760mn in cat losses related to Hurricane Ian, for incurred but not reported claims, in one of the first cat disclosures around the storm that hit Florida and the Carolinas last month.

The total Ian loss represented 19.6 loss ratio points. The Ohio-based carrier said over 95% of losses incurred from the storm occurred in Florida.
