Covid-induced court backlogs may last up to three years: Swiss Re

Clearing the massive pandemic-induced state court backlogs could take between one and a half and three years, depending on how fast courts can accelerate the clearance rate of pending cases, according to a recent study by Swiss Re.

On a webinar, Swiss Re executives discussed the report which found that if US state courts manage to increase the clearance rate by 10%, the backlog will be resolved by July 2023.
