Progressive: Florida de-risking will take a ‘little bit longer’ post Ian, legislative changes

Progressive CEO Tricia Griffith has said that the company still plans to move away from the Florida homeowners’ market, but considering recent legislative developments and post-Hurricane Ian, the process may take longer than expected.

Speaking to analysts on the carrier’s Q3 earnings call, the CEO noted that Progressive is not open for new business in home, dwelling fire and condo coverages.
