The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Floir) has approved United Property and Casualty's (UPC) run-off plan under several conditions, including placing the company under public administrative supervision for the duration of the runoff.

In late August, UPC signaled that it will pull out of personal lines in Florida, Texas, Louisiana and New York.
