Property rate increases are poised to accelerate post-Hurricane Ian after moderating in 2021 and through the first quarter of 2022, according to Lockton’s latest market update report.

The broker noted that while loss costs are increasing for various reasons, such as rising property valuations, inflationary pressures and supply chain disruptions, Ian should further boost losses due to higher treaty attachment levels.
