The Federal Reserve raised interest rates further by 50 basis points on Wednesday, noting a slowdown but not a full stop in rate increases, in an effort to curb inflationary pressures.
The central bank set its policy rate at a range of 4.25%-4.5% – the highest it has been since 2007.
