Citizens policies in force jump 51% in 2022, growth expected to slow

Citizens' policies in force totaled 1.145 million as of December 30, up 51% from the end of 2021.

The state insurer's growth is expected to slow after reforms passed in the December special session take effect.

As of November 30, the insurer's policy count shook out to 1.126
