AIG’s CFO and executive vice president, Shane Fitzsimons, will take a temporary medical leave of absence, effective immediately, the company announced.

Mark Lyons, who served as CFO prior to Fitzsimons, will step in as interim CFO, taking on additional responsibility to his current role as EVP, global chief actuary and head of portfolio management.
