Mark Maritzen, AIG’s chief underwriting officer for North America property, has left to join Berkshire Hathaway, this publication has learned.

It is understood that the executive will be joining the conglomerate’s reinsurance business, run by Ajit Jain.

Maritzen joined AIG from Sompo International in 2019.
