Cincinnati Financial’s Q4 loss ratio worsened 11.6 points to 65.1%, driven by a $158mn loss from Winter Storm Elliott.

The firm’s underlying combined ratio rose 2.2 points to 87.8%, as the insurer saw margin deterioration in all three of its P&C segments – commercial, personal lines and E&S.
