Root expects to bottom out burn rate in the next two years: CFO Bateman

Root is projected to burn around $100mn in cash in 2023, halving its burn rate from 2022, and expects to reach the bottom of its cash burn in the next two years, according to management comments during its Q4 2022 earnings call.

“If you think about what we did, we burned around $400mn in cash in 2021, [and] another $200mn in 2022,” CFO Rob Bateman said.
