Bermuda aircraft engines lessor WWTAI AirOpCo has sued various specialty insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates over $90mn of losses stemming from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Filed last month in a New York court, the lawsuit argues that one engine leased out in Ukraine and 16 engines leased out in Russia have suffered physical loss or damages, according to court records reviewed by this publication.
