Will Florida’s proposed bills be enough to decrease litigation across lines?

The Florida regular session is underway, and the market is hopeful that legislators will not only pass tort reform for all lines of insurance business but also revisit the reinsurance assistance passed in December for property.

As evidenced by the long-fought battle in property, it will not be enough for the legislature to limit one-way attorney fees or assignment of benefits (AOB) for the remaining lines of business.
