Chubb paid $567mn for 22% Huatai stake, expects $800mn disbursement upon closing

Chubb has paid $567mn for approximately 22% of Huatai and expects to pay the remaining aggregate purchase price of $800mn upon completion of the transaction.

The insurer said it has agreements in place to acquire the incremental 22% ownership interest in the Chinese carrier pending completion of certain closing conditions, according to Chubb’s Q1 10-Q filed with the SEC.
