CRC’s Brown promoted to regional director of transportation binding unit

Truist-owned wholesale broker CRC has appointed Stewart Brown to regional director of the company’s transportation binding unit, giving the executive oversight of transportation binding teams in California and Texas.

In his new role, Brown, who is based in Seattle, will be tasked with growing the transportation binding book of business while also managing carrier relations. The executive’s expertise lies in primary liability fleet business, both for-hire and business, and public auto.

In statement, West McAdams, president of CRC Binding, commented: “Over the past year plus, we have invested in new transportation binding talent across the country, through both hiring and acquisitions, while at the same time investing in technology to make our teams more efficient."

He continued: “Expanding Stewart’s role will help us to better support CRC Transportation Binding’s growth goals for 2021 and beyond.”

Brown joined the wholesale broker from Scottsdale Insurance in 2003. His appointment follows a series of moves within the company’s executive ranks.

Mike Brennan was named CEO of CRC’s commercial solutions business in October after the retirement of Ron Helveston.

In December, Garrett Koehn and Brent Tredway were tabbed as co-presidents of CRC’s brokerage business.
