Doma, the InsurTech formerly known as States Title, is going public in a merger with the special purpose acquisition company (Spac) Capitol Investment Corp V in a deal that values the title insurance business at $3bn.

The transaction is the latest in a flurry of insurance Spac deals, including artificial intelligence and cyber InsurTech Qomplx’s listing through a blank check company and the recent completion of Metromile’s merger with Cohen & Co’s Insu II.
