Securities Class Action Settlements—2020 Review and Analysis

US courts approved 77 settlements totaling $4.2bn in 2020, according to a new report by Cornerstone Research.

The cost of settlements is double that of the figure recorded in 2019, when courts approved 74 settlements costing $2.1bn.
