Hippo has hired Chris Donahue from AIG as vice president of underwriting, as the company adds to its insurance team following the InsurTech’s agreement to merge with blank check company Reinvent Technology Partners.

Donahue was global head underwriter for personal property at AIG, which he joined in 2017 after serving as chief underwriting officer at Chubb’s high net worth business.
