New York-headquartered investment firm Owl Creek has sent a letter to senior management at Old Republic, urging the carrier to consider strategic alternatives for its title insurance business.

In the missive, the asset management group additionally called on the insurer to conduct a review of the composition of its board of directors and to adopt “best-in-class” corporate governance practices.
