Farmers entities close acquisition of MetLife P&C business

Zurich-owned Farmers Group and mutual Farmers Exchanges have completed the purchase of MetLife’s P&C in a deal that includes a 10-year distribution agreement to provide personal lines products through MetLife’s US group benefits platform.

The distribution deal will give Farmers access to 3,800 companies and a pool of 37 million eligible employees.
