Richmond-based broker The Hilb Group (THG) has purchased the Star Agency, an Indiana-located business offering personal and commercial lines and employee benefits products.

The deal follows the largest transaction in THG’s history, when the company bought the Long Island-based Rampart Brokerage Corporation, which was the 100th acquisition Hilb has made since launching in 2009.
