Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has named Carol Laufer as its new regional head of liability for North America, following the retirement of Dieter Hautzer.

The company also appointed Michael Pignataro as head of energy and construction in North America.

Laufer joins the company on June 1 from Zurich North America, where she had been head of excess casualty since 2017.
