Reinsurance demand in the Latin American market is set to increase during the second half of 2021, but it could be offset by lower growth due to Covid-19 effects in the region, according to Fitch Ratings.

In a recent report, Fitch said the increasing reinsurance demand in the coming months will be driven by uncertainty linked to Covid-19 and high-impact weather events.
