UPC has agreed to sell to HCI its personal lines business in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, in a deal that replicates a similar portfolio transfer of northeast business earlier this year.

In the latest transaction, HCI will provide 85% quota share reinsurance on the in-force, new and renewal personal lines policies from the end of December through 31 May 2022.
