Cyber InsurTech underwriter Cowbell has become the latest MGA to launch a captive to take risk on its own behalf and to leverage as an additional source of underwriting capacity, this publication has learned. 

Cowbell Re, as the vehicle is known, is initially being used to support Cowbell’s SME program launched in October with fronted capacity from Palomar’s new fronting vehicle, PLMR-FRONT.
