Supreme Court nixes Biden’s large workplace vaccine mandate

The Supreme Court on Thursday threw out President Biden’s mandate requiring workers at large companies to get vaccinated for Covid-19 or submit to weekly testing and mask wearing. The justices did, however, allow a mandate for healthcare workers to stand.

The rulings came during an unprecedented spike in the number of coronavirus cases across the country as the Omicron variant spreads at breakneck speed, overwhelming hospitals in some states.
