Amid an industrywide talent shortage, outgoing Markel co-CEO Richie Whitt has said that culture is his company’s “biggest asset” and that Markel has found that a hybrid work model can offer the flexibility employees desire yet preserve a collaborative work environment.

“We have adopted a hybrid approach, and what we have told people is that we were going to test that out through the end of this year,” Whitt said in an interview with Inside P&C.
