McGriff and former CEO Ulmer settle dispute over blocked move to Alliant

Truist-owned McGriff has reached an agreement with former CEO Rick Ulmer to settle a legal dispute after Ulmer last year sued the company over its alleged attempts to impede the executive from starting a new position at rival broker Alliant.

Ulmer sued Truist-owned McGriff in South Florida last August over attempts to block him from taking up a new position at California-based Alliant Underwriting Solutions (AUS), where he supports nationwide M&A strategy and assists in overseeing acquisition integration.
