Valuations in the specialty-focused insurance firm sector have increased by 24% in 2021, while averaged valuations for retail brokerages rose 9%, boutique investment bank MarshBerry reported.

According to the Ohio-based bank, the M&A valuation landscape for insurance brokers has begun to shift as potential buyers see growth opportunities in niche markets serviced by specialty firms.
