InsurTech Surround Insurance has raised $2.5mn in a seed funding round led by MassMutual through the MM Catalyst Fund.

New investor Aperture VC also participated, alongside existing investors Newark Venture Partners and Cameron Ventures.

The proceeds will be used to expand Surround’s production and distribution footprints.
