Insured losses from Hurricane Fiona in Atlantic Canada have now exceeded C$800mn ($589mn), according to the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC).

The bureau cited figures from Catastrophe Indices and Quantification (CatIQ), in which the modeller updated its October estimate of C$660mn.
