Andrew is CEO of Lockton Latin America & Caribbean, responsible for all Lockton's activities in the region. He joined Lockton on 1st May 2020 and is based in Miami.

Lockton has been significantly expanding in Latin America & Caribbean for the last few years and now has owned Direct and Reinsurance businesses in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Miami, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, with a total of 1,000 Associates providing service to our clients across the region.

Prior to this Andrew has 31+ years experience with Marsh in various roles.

Since 2006 James has been working at SCOR Re Miami – CUO for Latin America & Caribbean. In this role, James took a small team from Employers shortly after the acquisition by Swiss Re to SCOR in order to restart the P&C Treaty strategy in the region. The portfolio has grown 10 fold and is highly profitable over time but something of a “white knuckle ride”.

James's career started with Swiss Re in London in November 1980.

Between 1985 – 1987 James worked at a start-up, Delta/Ichem Re which eventually became QBE Re in London. He has worked in various leading insurance companies including:

• Hiscox in Lloyds
• Employers Re / GE Frankona in London
• Employers Re Miami

Humberto has over 30 vigorous years of experience in the industry

Prior to his role at PartnerRe, Huberto has held executive positions at:

• America Re (Munich Re Group)
• Folksamerica Re (Sirius Group)
• Aon Reinsurance

Rui is a multilingual professional with more than two decades of experience in the reinsurance industry. Prior to his current role, Rui was Head Treaty Underwriter for Everest’s Caribbean and Colombia portfolios, a position he has held since 2017. He also has experience leading underwriting businesses in Brazil, Peru, Chile, and Africa. Before joining the Miami team in 2015, Rui served as Managing Director and Legal Representative of Everest’s local office in Brazil.

Earlier in his career, Rui held key leadership roles at XL Group in treaty and facultative underwriting, claims, and accounting. Rui has extensive experience in Latin America and Caribbean insurance and reinsurance operations. Throughout his career, he has focused on reinsurance underwriting, including active portfolio management.

Rui has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janiero (PUC-RIO), and holds an MBA in Strategic and Economic Business Management by Fundação GetúlioVargas (FGV-Rio).

Cameron has 23 years of experience as a reinsurance broker in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Hermann Giron has been General Manager at Seguros y Fianzas El Roble, the leading insurance company in Guatemala since 2002. Before that he served diverse management roles in Corporación BI, the leading financial services group in Central America. In addition to his management role he is a Board Member at Seguros Del Pais in Honduras.

He represented the private sector for many years in the Guatemalan national statistics institute and has occupied diverse private sector leadership roles, including the presidency of the Guatemalan Association of Insurers AGIS, the presidency of the Chamber of Finance and the Presidency of CACIF, the highest organ of Private Sector Representation in Guatemala

Hermann is currently serving a third presidency of CACIF

Horst has grown his career at Gen Re over the course of nearly 30 years.

Starting as Treaty Underwriter in 1993 to holding a General Manager position in Bogota and Mexico to having now risen to being their Marketing Manager covering the span of Latin America, Span and Portugal.

Eduardo started his professional career in ASSA Compañia de Seguros, S.A. in the year 1994, where he has held different executive positions. In 2008, the Board of Directors appointed him as Executive Vice President of ASSA Panama and following the expansion of ASSA into El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Bermuda, Cayman and Colombia, he was appointed CEO of ASSA Compañía Tenedora, S.A. In 2018 he was appointed CEO of ASSA Compañía Tenedora, S.A. 

He led the negotiation for the acquisition of the insurance business of American International Group, Inc. ( NYSE : AIG ) in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Panama. He also conducted the acquisition of Assicurazioni Generali, Panamá Branch in 2018 and Blue Cross Blue Shield Costa Rica in 2022.

He represents ASSA as foundering member of JMalucelli Travelers Seguros, S.A., a Colombian insurance company specialized in Surety and Casualty Insurance.

Eduardo is President of Lion Reinsurance Company (Bermuda), Reaseguradora America (Cayman), Banco La Hipotecaria, S.A., Secretary to the Board of Directors of JMalucelli Travelers Colombia, Director of Banco de Finanzas, S.A. (Nicaragua), member of the Board of Directors of ASSA Panamá, ASSA Guatemala, Secretary of ASSA (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua), Vice President of Junior Achievement Panama and belongs to YPO International and Panamá Chapter. He recently was appointed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Blue Marble Microinsurance, a consortium of 8 companies with a mission of extending socially impactful, commercially viable insurance protection to the underserved.
